I’ve been doing a little bit of slowing down these days. A little over a year ago, I wrote a post about Drinking Coffee with Two Hands. It may have taken me a year and four months to fully begin to grasp that concept, and I think I am still working on it, but slowing down feels good. Taking the long way home leads to unexpected adventures and new ideas… a fresh take on the world around me.
Last night, I photographed a sweet little blonde in a field of purple. My favorite thing about this sweet girl is that when she was in a field of wildflowers, she was completely in her own little world. The way she glanced around her, picked flowers, and tip-toed around the field made me smile, and reminded me that it is totally necessary get lost in the moment. Especially if that moment is in a field of purple.
