There’s something I love very deeply about photography. Okay, so there’s lots of things, but I love the way it requires me to live in the moment. Living in the moment is what the essence of photography is all about. Lately, I’ve been needing that reminder more than anything… living for now. Too often, I find myself dreaming about Friday, better weather, or my next vacation. The truth is, life is way too short for waiting. After all, Friday isn’t promised. I’m so thankful that photography reminds me of that.
I also love it how photography makes me slow down and admire the beauty of the people right in front of me while I take in their relationships and capture who they are together. I love it how photography asks me, urgently, but not with haste, to enjoy this moment… but more than that: to capture the beauty in it.
My favorite thing about Lifestyle sessions is that they are exactly about living in the moment… a moment that will soon become a memory. I am so grateful that this sweet family welcomed me into their home and allowed me to capture some memories for them. Their home is airy, yet so cozy, and the love that they have for their sweet boy is abundant through those walls.
I love seeing my work on display in clients’ homes!
This last one is my favorite. I love that sweet smirk.

You’re so right, Taylor. Yesterday I dropped off Allestair’s paperwork to start daycare, and I spent way too much of the day (and night!) worrying about it. He will know we love him; I just need to focus on each and every precious second with him! Thank you for capturing our angel. You’ve once again done amazing work!!!
Beautiful images for a beautiful family!!!!!!! You all look great and Allestair is a sweetie!
